Which delivery services currently allow the consumer to place and track their order in Las Vegas

Nevada is one of the eleven American states that have legalized recreational marijuana. As long as you’re over 21, you can purchase up to 1 ounce of weed from a licensed dispensary in Las Vegas. If you’re a medical marijuana card holder, you may be able to buy larger quantities, depending on your prescription. Furthermore, consumers can also place an order with a licensed dispensary and have their cannabis delivered in their place of residence. How can I track my deliveries?

Different dispensaries may have different means through which their customers track their deliveries. In most cases, however, customers get a delivery ID, which they enter into the relevant section of the dispensaries’ website. The dispensary you’re ordering from should provide an estimate on the amount of time it will take to process and deliver your order.

The estimate would typically depend on the volume of orders the dispensary has to process and some other contingent factors. Usually, the delivery personnel would call you some minutes before arriving at the delivery address. If you desire a scheduled or rushed delivery, you should inquire at the dispensary you’re ordering from to know if they offer such services.

What do I need for delivery?

Before you can place an order for recreational marijuana in Las Vegas, you’d need a government-issued ID that proves you’re 21 years or older. Marijuana dispensaries typically accept deriver’s licenses, passports, and state ID cards. If you have a valid medical marijuana card, you will be able to place an order as long as you are 18 or older. If you are less than 18, your parents or legal guardian will have to handle your medical marijuana purchase for you.

Can you deliver to my hotel?

No. Nevada marijuana delivery laws forbid delivering to places such as hotels, casinos, public parks, and other similar establishments. Delivery personnel can only deliver to your residential address. You should also note that delivery personnel cannot deliver marijuana to college dormitories or other university housing, shelters, and federal properties such as military bases.

How can I pay for my delivery?

All dispensaries accept cash payment on delivery. However, it often comes with the clause that customers should hold the exact order amount as drivers do not carry change. Some deliveries may also accept alternative payment options, such as apps designed for cannabis payment processing. Unfortunately, most dispensaries cannot accept credit card payment because payment processing companies still consider cannabis an illegal substance, and are thus unwilling to work with cannabis-related businesses.

Can I return a product I’m not satisfied with?

Most dispensaries do not accept returns through the delivery personnel. If you have complaints about the delivered product, you’ll need to get in touch with the dispensary and sometimes, lodge your complaint physically.

Can I order marijuana from a dispensary in another state?

It’s illegal to cross interstate lines with a Schedule I drug, and marijuana remains a Schedule 1 substance under federal law. No delivery company can process any marijuana order that comes outside of the state they’re based in. You may be able to process your order from a delivery company in another city, as long as it’s not outside Nevada.
